Marine Girls – Beach Party
Not sure why I haven’t posted this yet. Very, very solid album with some very, very lovely songs on it. “All Dressed Up” and “In Love” in particular are wonderful. Minimalistic way too sugary (almost makes yr stomach hurt!) pop music.
Vulcans – Star Trek
An awesome dub album with a space/psychedelic twist, mainly involving the Moog. Highly recommended.
The Beautiful Daze – City Jungle Pt. 1 & 2 [EP]
Some truly psychedelic stuff here off of a very obscure 45 from the 60’s psychedelic band, The Beautiful Daze. Pretty crazy guitar sounds on here for 1967. Not sure if it’s just the recording, but some of the guitar parts on here sound almost shoegaze-ish (more noisy shoegaze). Long sustain on the ultra-fuzz and maybe a little reverb. Anyways, B side is the instrumental half to the A side. Keep in mind this is 1967. Crazy. Enjoy.

No-wavish post-punk, which is accessible and pleasant, to a certain extent. Highly recommended.

Heard it compared to the likes of Cabaret Voltaire. It’s kind of early industrial punk stuff. Nice, if you can stand the sound of dated electronics.
